UPDATE: Thanks for all the kind words!

Sickness in the World is the follow-up to acclaimed opensource album A Basement Of Broken Dreams. Taking samples, parts, pieces, and voices from such diverse sources as rare acapellas and unreleased recordings, John Holowach reassembles them into a new work, fundamentally different from what they originated from.

This album (which includes the cover) is free to download , but if you would like to help support John Holowach as an artist, please consider donating via Paypal:

Notes

John Holowach is a samplist. He makes use of sounds, beats, music, and generally anything that crosses his path in order to make a new work from it. His latest CD, Red Water, is available here: http://www.cafepress.com/redwater/

If you're going to use a sample or piece of the song, he'd like to hear what you made of it, so e-mail him: sampled@_narphonax.com (minus the underscore)

Essential listening! Easily one of my top album picks of the 2005, which surprises even me since a) I consume music like its going out of style (which it does, I know, but you get the point. I digress) and b) I found such quality work without waiting 4 weeks for some expensive import CD to arrive on my doorstep. Mr. Holowach-you're an uber-talent...kudos and keep 'em coming. (much deserved donation on the way)

Great collection as usual John. I really hope that curators of the open source audio section start to front page your efforts. **More stuff from me to you soon**
